New stuff!!!  Watch our new videos!

West End Shelter for Animals is a nonprofit, no-kill placement and adoption center. Pets remain with us indefinately until they find a home. We receive no government funding and depend exclusively grants, fundraisers, adoption fee, our low cost vaccination clinic and your generosity to fund our work.  We are a 501(c)3 organization.

  1. I adopted my boxer/shepherd mix, Gracie, here. She has to be sent from God. Her demeanor is so tame and lovable. It’s important to screen your adopted dog with your home cats, dogs, etc. I did that and am very very pleased as I already owned a bossy, somewhat feral, dog already.

  2. Just watched your video and it made me homesick for one of my favorite places. You all will always be in my thoughts and heart.

  3. I want to know of a shelter that really could use brand new dog crates, toys, jackets about 50_60 of them. & a bunch of stuff id like to donate to somewhere where there needed. You can email me if its you or mabey you know somewhere. Thanks

  4. God bless you for doing this amazing work. These animals are loved! That is wonderful, they deserve not to be killed until adopted.

  5. there are tree dogs outside the facility a white hairy dog and two black small dogs they are so defenseless i’m so sorry no to be able to do something for them.

  6. Got our Shadow girl here 12 years ago. She is half pit/half lab. Thanks to the volunteers and manager, her and her siblings were sent to Riverside for spay and neuter. If they had been sent to Pomona, they would have been put down. Shadow is the sweetest dog in the world.
Wish we could help out more.
By the way, it’s “indefinitely”…..in your opening paragraph.
